Up To My Ears....

in boxes! My apologies for a lack of posts, but here are some organizing products I'm currently in need of in my new apartment.
A shoe cubby. Since I have floor space in my closets, I'd tend to lean towards something like this:

And I would really love to get a bench for the entryway so I have a place to stash hats, gloves and grocery bags.

If The Shoe Fits.

Clever shoe storage spotted here. Still one of my all-time fave DIY projects from the lovely Not Martha.

Moving Sucks.

Seriously. There is something so unnerving about having to pack up all your belongings into boxes. I've just moved into a new apartment and I've been very harsh with myself about what to keep and what to toss. The last time I moved my boyfriend made me leave behind several baskets (which you will eventually realize I have an unnatural obsession with) and I am still not over it. A good rattan is hard to find. But anyways, labeling is the only sane thing you can do when packing. Even if you're tossing a bunch of random items in a box last minute, make note on the outside of the box as to what lies beneath. Confession: I have a box that is labeled "utensils, spice rack, body lotion." Sometimes moving doesn't have to make sense.

Or just buy these.

Stacked.

I love how versatile suitcases are when it comes to organizing. I've used them in closets or even piled up as a coffee table. Here's a cute set you can buy - though the best ones are vintage finds on ebay or etsy.

Before & After.

Here's a super easy way to organize those flippin' kitchen cabinets. Further proof that pantry baskets are the greatest things since, well, sliced bread.

What's Wrong With These Pictures?

Though I am totally envious of these fabulous closets - one thing comes to mind. PURGE! I bet Paula wears the same three pairs just like the rest of us.

Branch Out.

I would love to cover an entire entryway wall with six of these. So great looking and the perfect catchall for jackets or hats.
